About the Author
David M.L. Sledge Jr., was born in Newport News, Virginia and spent majority of his teenage years in Yokosuka, Japan. He graduated from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management. David is best known for writing children’s books, but he spends time writing poetry as well. His passion for the youth in the community has led him to reside in California as a Youth Fitness Specialist. His passion for children’s books stems from his late grandmother, Marie Sledge, who is the inspiration of his book “Thank You Grandma.” This book is a tribute to his grandmother and how she instilled great knowledge and love in him through numerous life lessons.
