About the Author
Award-winning filmmaker and US Veteran Afonso J Henrique resides in New York City and Los Angeles where he follows his true calling in life as a writer and director. He has an A.A. in Writing and Literature from the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) and is graduating with a B.A. in Screenwriting and Film Studies from Brooklyn College, Fall 2018.
Afonso is represented by Literary Manager Arus Motta of Emagine Content and is an alumnus of the Time Warner Screenwriting Fellowship with BMCC, a member of the International Screenwriters Association (ISA,) Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP,) and Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCWBI). He is also a juror for the New York International Screenplay Association (NYISA) and a freelance screenwriter, instructor, and story editor.
