Life Hacks Day 3

  1. If you’re stressed, try running. Outside of meditation, that’s one of the best ways to clear your mind.

  2. If the taxi driver asks you if you’re “from around here”, lie and tell him that you are; sometimes they drive farther (driving up the price) for tourists.

  3. Don’t want to be embarrassed when buying something? Buy a birthday card to go along with it.

  4. Need to tell a believable lie?! Include an embarrassing detail because nobody doubts a story that makes you look foolish.

  5. When you feel the urge to drink or smoke, go for a run, do 20 sit ups, etc. This way you’ll start associating quitting the habit with being fit.

  6. Eating your food slowly will help you lose weight, enjoy your food, reduces stress and lead to better digestion.

  7. Try to spend more money on experiences and less on material things.

  8. To tell if you’re dreaming or not, check your clock twice. If the second time you check the time is drastically different from the first time you checked, you’re dreaming.

  9. Want to get stuff done without people interrupting you? Just wear headphones, even if you’re not listening to anything.

  10. Singing makes you happier, and you’ll live longer.

  11. Looking for something? Scan the room from right to left with your eyes. This way you’ll pick up more since your brain isn’t used to reading and scanning that way.

  12. Good things come to those who wait, but greater things come to those who get off their asses and do something to make it happen.

  13. Bees can’t see you if you aren’t moving.

Life tip: If you ever get caught sleeping at school/work, slowly raise your head and say “In Jesus’ name, Amen!”

  1. Luiza, 🙂 thanks for the tips, loved them all and especially #7.

Oh, a very funny coincident, I used your life tip in 8th grade geography class with Mr. Roberts as I woke up with slobber slightly running down my face and said “amen” as he walked by. 🙂 I guess this is proof that one can pray while they are sleeping, in fact I now remember this verse and it goes something like “pray without sleeping,” or is it ceasing! LOL!!!

I received pertty good grades in his class so I feel he knew I knew what was going on! I would love to go back and interview history teachers that maybe retired now or even if not, and interview them to see their perspective on matters.

Like, if living in the now is more important than history and so, I could see history teachers could add to their curriculum history in the light of the moment! That would be much more interesting to students of this generation, I would feel.

    Thanks for sharing! 🙂

      1. Oh no, I wanted to be more than just an amen guy!! 🙂 LOL!!

He really doesn’t go around saying that, so much, but he has concluded, that after much research, that “A Man is ENside” and if one adds an I we could express “I AM EN.”

We know whose name I AM is, and it isn’t mine 🙂 and EN, phonetically of course harmonizes with IN as well as meaning basically the same as IN but it is mostly used as a prefix or referring to the letter N.

Now hearing Kate’s tale of being the perfect cover, I have to say that we all actors on a stage, trying to stay clear of fire!

Maybe we should not be so afraid of the fire, and walk in and take the keys away, but that’s just me!! LOL!!! 🙂

  2. i love them all but the falling asep and waking up to say “In Jesus name. Amen.” Is perfect for the night shift when, if caught sleeping, you get fired. It’s a perfect cover!!
